Industrial barbell sizes?

I got an industrial piercing a few months ago, I think it should be already healed since there's not crusting or anything of that sort happening. But this is my problem. When I got my ear pierced it was extremely uncomfortable, but I didn't want to waste my and just take it out, so I stuck through the pain by taking out the barbell and inserting my belly rings so I have enough blood flowing to my ear, since it was really red on top. I still have my belly rings in since I can't insert the last barbell I had, it still cuts off the blood flow to the top of my ear and gets really red. So, I was wondering if you could help me find the right size that would fit my ear. I'm not sure what size the piercer gave me, but it looks pretty short since I have a small ear to begin with. What larger sizes could I get the industrial bar in? I don't want to buy another ring and have it do the same thing, so I'll even get it in the biggest size they have! Thank you and I'll be looking forward to your answers. :)

It takes up to a year to fully heal a industrial that is why its red.I would go back to a piercer and get them to fit you with a new bar.
Length depends on your ear size. Most are 1.25". The standard gauge size is 14 so depending on your ring gauge size you have now will determine which gauge size bar you need.
You should get professionally measured. Too short of a barbell will cause pinching and possibly migration, but too long of a bar will increase the risk of catching, which will cause a lot of irritation. Industrial barbells can be anywhere from 1 1/4" to 1 3/4", with 1 1/2" being the most common size used.
Your piercings are more than likely not fully healed yet, as ear cartilage usually takes 6-12 months to fully heal. When putting in one barbell, you may have a lot of redness, irritation, and discomfort for a while. If this happens, the holes may not be properly aligned. When doing an industrial, the piercer must be extremely careful to ensure the angle of the holes match exactly the angle of the barbell. If they don’t, this will cause the bar to pull on the surrounding tissue. In that case, you can either take it out and have it redone, wear separate jewelry in the holes, or tough it out and wait for the pressure to cause enough migration that the holes line up properly.
